The candidate communicated well initially and had a positive attitude during the interview. She confirmed a start date for the following week. On the first scheduled day, she called about an hour in advance to report car trouble, which was understandable, and we rescheduled. However, on the next scheduled day, she did not arrive at the agreed time and did not respond to calls. We did not hear from her until hours later. Due to the lack of timely communication and reliability, we decided not to move forward. Timeliness and consistency are essential for this role.
