About Mikena

Hello! My name is Mikena and I am currently a senior at San Diego State University, pursuing a degree in Business Management with a minor in Management Information Systems. I was born and raised in Long Beach, where I enjoy fitness/sports, art, and spending time with friends and family. As the oldest of three sisters, I've had the privilege of helping care for my younger siblings for as long as I can remember. Over the years, I've gained hands-on experience caring for children ranging in age from 1 year to 15 years old but am comfortable working with younger and older. I understand that every child is unique and I take pride in being adaptable, patient, and fully engaged in their individual needs and personalities. Additionally, I offer tutoring experience within various subjects and enjoy helping children reach their academic potential in a way that feels fun and encouraging.
