About Mikayla

Connecting with children and nurturing their growth has always been a passion of mine. My previous experiences babysitting, along with working as a nanny for a social worker many years ago, solidified my desire to positively impact young lives. I have a graduate degree in psychology and a bachelor's in social work. I've spent time working at a preschool with infants and children up to age four, as well as at a group home with children aged six to 17. I'm patient, creative, friendly, and I communicate with parents using their preferred method, whether it's a quick chat at pickup or regular updates via text or phone. I follow the parents' lead when enforcing household rules. I enjoy playing all sorts of games with children, from outdoor sports to board games and even some fun apps. I have 10 years of experience caring for children of all ages, and I'm comfortable caring for up to four children at a time. I have a car and am comfortable with pets.
