About Mikayla

Hi! My name is Mikayla, and I'm a college student studying Marketing at Northern Illinois University. I've always enjoyed working with kids and have experience tutoring elementary school students after school for about a year. I've also volunteered with children ages 3-5 helping them explore music and instruments, and I led choir sectionals for students ages 14-17, which helped me develop patience, leadership, and strong communication skills. I'm dependable, patient, and creative, and I enjoy finding fun ways to keep kids engaged, whether that's through games, crafts, music, or outdoor activities. I also have my own car and am CPR and First Aid certified. My goal is always to create a safe, positive environment where children feel comfortable and supported while making sure their routines and needs are taken care of.
