About Mikaela

I'm currently in college studying international business and financial management. I love working with kids and doing different creative activities and running around. I enjoy painting and drawing, playing board games, and playing tennis and pickleball. I also like cooking and I've babysat my cousin's triplet 2year old boys and their dog before. I've worked at the YMCA for more than 4 years as a summer counselor with kids from 5-11 years old and I ended up doing before/after school care with them as well. My job included leading different crafts and games that are fun and educational. I was also promoted to an inclusion staff (special ed.) role, where I worked with special needs kids to do as much as possible with the wider group while also being able to engage in one-on-one activities. I haven't renewed my CPR and first aid certification, but I did have both when working with the YMCA. I've also coached tennis for kids between 5-17 years old.
