About Miea

Hi I'm Mièa (My-è-a), I'm 37 and currently a teacher at Little Green Treehouse. I teach 15-24-month-olds and prior to that I was a 2s teacher at Kindercare. I'm originally from Grand Rapids, MI, but I have been a resident of Chicago since March of 2020. I grew up in a in home daycare household. My parents started when only 6 months pregnant with me (youngest of 3 girls)! So children is all I know, I have had the opportunity to work with children with intellectual disabilities, to sets of twins to now in a school setting! I've been blessed to be in the teaching/nanny field that I don't see myself doing anything else. Believe it or not I have a Bachelors Degree in Political Science, but a month into my career I knew it wasn't what I really wanted. So back to school I went and got my degree in early childhood education and this is where I belong. Let's chat and become a family!
