About Mickey

I just moved to Olathe from Virginia! My previous job was working as a part time floating teacher at a childcare center for almost 3 years. I have experience with all age groups and I obtained my early childhood education certificate at Piedmont Virginia community college in 2025. I am CPR certified and I have a reliable safe car! Some of my favorite things to do with kids are playing, being in nature, and asking them open ended questions. I learn just as much from them as they learn from me! I'm looking for a job that has open communication between me and parents! I love sending updates throughout the day and planning fun activities with kids and then sharing those moments with parents. My skills include being able to maintain a safe environment while still engaging in play, nature and Reggio inspired learning, and creating fun interactive process art! Bonus is that I am very good at getting kids down for a nap!
