About Michelle

Empowering young learners to reach their full potential is the foundation of my 30year teaching career. As a Certified teacher, I specialize in elementary mathematics, where I transform complex problems into manageable steps that build genuine momentum. I believe every student possesses unique strengths, so I actively observe your child's interactions with new material to tailor my visual aids and hands-on activities to their specific needs. By connecting mathematical concepts to real-world interests, I foster a love for learning rather than simple memorization. I prioritize open communication with parents to ensure we remain a collaborative team, celebrating every "aha!" moment as your child gains confidence. Whether we meet at your home, the library, or a community center, I am dedicated to creating a patient, engaging environment where your student can thrive. I look forward to supporting your child's academic journey and seeing them succeed.
