Hello! I have over 38 years experience working with children of all ages and have a degree in Early Child Development. I have been a professional nanny for 10 families, ran my own licensed daycare, worked at a daycare center as a Lead Toddler Teacher, volunteered in my church children's ministry, subbed at the local elementary school as a para-pro and recess aide, developed/supervised a youth program at a local credit union for 14 years and taught kids ages 5-8 on Monday evenings at Hope Unexpected. I am a grandma to a beautiful 15-month-old girl whom I'm blessed to watch on Tuesdays and Wednesdays! I love to snuggle babies and spend lots of one on one time with them. I also enjoy the outdoors, taking nature walks, arts/crafts time, sensory development, reading books and teaching children about life through play. Michelle has been a pleasure to have as a nanny for our now 16-month-old daughter. What started as a three-month commitment turned into a year-long relationship! Michelle is kind, reliable, and creative when it comes to playtime. As we know, the first year of life is full of many changes. Michelle was there through all of them, from suggesting appropriate toys to adapting to routine changes as our daughter began eating solids and becoming more mobile. Michelle thrives in sensory and creative play with our daughter. While she does not cook meals from scratch, she reliably feeds our daughter at the appropriate times, offers meals that were prepared in advance, and can help prepare simple meals when needed. She would also occasionally assist with basic kitchen cleanup. We’ve been so grateful to have Michelle during this stage of our daughter’s life. She helped make it possible for us to transition to full-time daycare at a more comfortable age. We highly recommend her and know she would be a wonderful nanny for another family.
