Although my specialty focuses in my Nursing career have primarily been in Women's Health, I've also worked quite a bit with a wide range of special populations, including people with physically limiting diagnoses, cognitive and/or speech delays, Psychiatric issues, and Neuro-divergent diagnoses. Whatever the diagnosis(es) may be, it's the individual person that is the real focus of my care. I love working one-on-one with individuals and their families, and providing care that is respectful, personalized, and tailored to make people feel more comfortable in their own skin. Having to rely on an outsider for support can leave many feeling vulnerable and uneasy, and I do all that I can to help people I'm caring for work through that. I also have my own child who has special needs, so this is an area of healthcare I feel deeply passionate about!
