I'd describe myself as calm, empathetic, and optimistic. I enjoy caring for seniors, learning from their life experiences, and aspire to help them thrive and enjoy this chapter we are experiencing together. I'm an IHSS caregiver, and began this journey as a live-in caregiver, for someone with advancing dementia at the start of COVID lockdown. We lived together for 3 1/2 years, until her passing at the age of 90. She was a marvelous person, and we found many ways to enjoy ourselves despite the whirlwind outside. My next recipient, also with dementia, has faced severe physical impairment. I was her full-time caregiver for 2 yrs, until she moved into a home which provides advanced medical care. Now, I'm looking for daytime work, as a caregiver who lives outside the home. I'm open to full-time or part-time positions, any day except Saturdays. I'm an adamant non-smoker, and an animal lover comfortable helping with pets. Please feel free to call.
