About Michelle

Hi! My name is Michelle and I am a tutor based out of Palm Desert and Los Angeles. I recently graduated with my masters from Columbia University in NYC and am back in CA for the time being. I teach the following subjects: English (all levels), Biology, History, Geology, Math (Kindergarten through Algebra including CORE,) Social Studies, Literature, Art, Anthropology and most college and AP courses. I also am a tutor for the AP, SAT, GRE and ACT tests as well as HSPT. My prices vary upon the level and age of the student. Please feel free to contact for my schedule and any questions you may have! I have five degrees between Columbia, UCLA and Oxford University. I am also a home school teacher, on set teacher, and have taught for the programs ILead, iLead Hybrid, K-12 and Keystone. My goal is to get your children to become independent and self-sufficient in regards to their academic careers. For summer tutoring I will consider in person and remote depending on how many hours you need.

I usually don't do reviews but in this case I chose to because I love children and know that Michelle can be a valuable asset to them. We hired Michelle to help my daughter with her 4th grade math almost 6 months ago. My daughter was struggling in Math and we did not have much success with other tutors. She does very well in school but has always struggled with math. It's just not her thing. Michelle has found a way not only to get her engaged but to also build her confidence. She taught my daughter different approaches to solve math problems as well as teaching her how we learn and retain information which has transcended into other areas of her academics. One thing I really like about Michelle is that with my daughter she knows when to push her and when to ease back a little. I feel very confident recommending Michelle as a tutor for your child. She has met all my expectations and more.
