Hello, my name is Michelle and I am a 52-year-old soon to be empty nester living in Lyons. I enjoy home projects, walking my dog, gardening and art. My professional career is deeply rooted in customer service with a focus in the hospitality industry. I started caregiving, a little over 10 years ago and have found that this is where my passion is. My main focus other than providing exceptional care is maintaining one's dignity. Having compassion, being able to understand their needs, even if they cannot express it. Have patience. Communication with family is so important. I have experience with memory care, hospice care, medication management, feeding (G tube), bathing, dressing, light housekeeping, running errands, activity planning and going to doctors appointments to name a few of my qualifications. Michelle was an absolute treasure in caring for my dad for about 3 years. Initially, it was to do simple housework, but then my dad's needs increased as his dementia began to worsen at a fast rate. To be honest, I didn't know if Michelle would be the right fit for my dad's new needs. Michelle blew us all away, proving she wasn't limited to doing simple housework. She was able to provide my dad with the tender loving care he now needed. She was incredibly diligent in tending to every aspect of his personal needs.
