My experience with caring for elders has been short lived as I started to care for an elderly couple close to my residence for about 2 months before the husband became ill and died suddenly just 6 weeks later! I had gotten very close with the wife in the process and continued to visit and run errands for her until she moved back to her country in Central Latin America. It has been a year since I spoke with her, but can say it was a wonderful opportunity for me as I grew to love her like my very own great-grandmother. I love to sit and talk with the elderly as well as help them take care of things they cannot do for themselves anymore.
