About Michelle

Hi, I'm Michelle! I am a dedicated and compassionate educator with over 15 years of experience in preschool through sixth grade, training and coaching teachers, and supporting families. I help children with academics, confidence, emotional intelligence and a love of learning. I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology, with a minor in Child Development from California State University, Fullerton, and a master's degree in Learning, Teaching, and Curriculum with an emphasis on Early Childhood Education and Special Needs from the University of Missouri, Columbia. I am currently completing my Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Cal State Fullerton. My approach to tutoring is to build a strong rapport so that students feel confident in their ability to learn. When tutoring an academic area in need of improvement, I use a strengths-based approach and focus on building understanding and skill. I am available for one-on-one tutoring and small groups, both in-person and online.
