I have a genuine fondness for young people and, having raised my own two kids (boy and girl, early 20s), I wish to continue to have a positive impact on youngsters. I was a nanny for 3 years before moving to Iowa City (reference available upon request) and was also a substitute teacher for many years. I believe that humor is vital, as well as mutual respect and a balance of structure and flexibility. I see each child as highly individual and unique and adjust my approach accordingly.
