I have 15 years experience teaching in a public school setting with special needs children, ranging from preschool through high school. I love teaching in special education. I am a very lovable, patient, dedicated and energetic individual. I am always punctual and I am structured. Knowledge of some sign language. I can effectively communicate with verbal and non-verbal students. effectively manage/control behavioral and emotional occurrences. I have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Strong logical skill and attention to detail. I am familiar with flash cards, Meyer Johnson cards and others visual supports. I have been trained in behavioral management and stress management as well as calming techniques. I maintain valuable working relationships with students/children, teachers and parents.
