I have over 30 years experience working with the elderly. I have worked in a nursing home , worked for hospice for 15 years (wonderful experience) and am now doing private home care . I enjoy listening to the stories of their life and events in history. They are always anxious to share their memories and socialize. They still need and want their independence and I do my best to assist them with that. When I trained the aides for hospice I always told them to treat the resident like their own family. I enjoy my work immensely.
