Hi Y'all! I have been caring for kiddos on and off for over 15 years. I live in SE Portland with my husband and two kitties. Three blocks away from my 1-year-old nephew who is the light of my life! I started taking care of little ones when I was still a little one myself. Now, as a 28-year-old with a lot more life experience and education in child development - there is nothing more fulfilling than being apart of the daily milestones of children. I ran a restaurant for 6 years, so I am no stranger to needing to be firm when necessary. That being said I live by the idea that there's no wrong way to exist, let me walk with you through this big feeling rather than putting it down. I have worked with several families who all parent very differently and it's always very important to me to get to know the parents and their parenting style so I can best be an extension of you. Consistency is so important for growing minds! Lastly, I drive a 2020 car!

Having Michaley care for our children was such an incredible experience. We were devastated when she moved to Oregon. Our loss is your gain. We have three children a 12 year old boy, 7 year old girl and an almost 3 year old girl. Her ability to be direct with her expectations of them, while also giving loving and kind consequences (if necessary) made her a household favorite here. She connected with my son over video games, playing legos and arts and crafts. The younger two she was great at playing pretend, arts & crafts as well as singing and dancing. She was also showing them great coping skills when she sensed they were overwhelmed. She was prompt, reliable, polite, reasonable, great with the kids and just really has a generally warm welcoming presence. If you are lucky enough to hire her, you won't be disappointed. We miss her terribly.
