About Michael

I have worked with children for over half of my life and have always had a natural ability to connect with people of all ages. My passion began at 16 when I took my first job as a camp counselor. Over the next seven summers, I advanced through leadership roles at a sports camp, strengthening my skills in mentorship, teamwork, and youth development. Driven by a desire to support individuals across the lifespan, I pursued further education after earning my degree in special education and went on to complete my doctorate in occupational therapy in 2020. I have practiced as an OT in both pediatric and geriatric settings since then. My approach is strengths-based and occupation-centered, grounded in neurodiversity-affirming and trauma-informed care. I focus on meeting people where they are and building on their interests and abilities to promote independence, engagement, and participation in meaningful daily activities.
