I retired in 2022 and since then have worked at Huntington Learning Center (Centreville) for the past 3 years - I also began tutoring from home and have had several students in my neighborhood that needed help in various subjects. I mainly teach English, Grammar, Reading Comprehension, Math up to Algebra 2, Writing (cursive) , Spelling and Study Skills. I am old school but know how to step back when a student finds something difficult . I teach 2nd Grade on up to High School. A recent personal achievement was being able to assist one of my students in being accepted at Thomas Jefferson High School this past school year,. It always gives me satisfaction to see the light bulb come on when a young person starts to realize that whatever they are struggling with does not seem as difficult as it seems
