About Michael

I'd describe my personality as patient, encouraging, and dedicated. I like tutoring because I enjoy seeing the moment when something finally clicks for a student. I'm looking for opportunities to help students improve their math skills, build confidence, and reach their academic goals. I'm open to both in-person and online tutoring and enjoy working with students on an ongoing basis. I started tutoring more than 30 years ago while I was attending graduate school. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, walking my dog, and spending time with my family. I also enjoy taking day trips and exploring new places with them. I'm a lifelong learner and love to try new things. One thing you should know about me is I'm very patient and believe that every student can learn when the material is explained in a way that makes sense to them. My top three tutoring skills are explaining complex concepts clearly, identifying learning gaps, and building student confidence.
