About Michael

I grew up in North Babylon, NY during the 70's and 80's. Life was simple then and I was kin to 2 sisters and 2 brothers. There were times of sheer joy with our wonderful mother and father at the wheel of our daily lives. We all had our own dreams but one of my Mother's was to make sure her youngest son/that's me learn how to make beds, cook, clean, do laundry, and all other household chores. I learned how to do all of these things by the age of 6. When I asked my mother why she taught me these things she said with a straight face, "Because I want you to know how to take care of yourself and others in case you get married and divorced one day." Many years later her teachings served me well as I was served with divorce papers in 2010. I raised my 2 sons ages 11 and 8 until they were grown men out on their own with their own lives and their own dreams. I think back to all of those years and though my parents have been gone since 2019 I always smile with joy in my heart and memories.
