I have worked at a special needs camp for 7 years. I have been a counselor for those 5 years. We would teach our participants the basic needs they need to know in their daily life. The disabilities I have worked with have ranged from cerebral palsy, autism, down syndrome, and schizophrenia. They range from severe to high functioning. I have experience in changing diapers, transferring, feeding, dressing, and hygiene. I have a lot of patience and I absolutely love working with the special needs population. I work as a behavioral technician in Los Gatos in a classroom setting for kids on the autism spectrum.
