About Michaela

I've always been passionate about working with kids because I think it's important to create an environment where they can build a rewarding relationship with learning, one that is fun and rooted in curiosity and encouragement. I want children to thrive, feel safe, seen, and heard while also strengthening their confidence and independence. Most recently I spent a year teaching a mixed age group class (2-5 yrs old) at a Montessori school in Manhattan. However, I've worked with kids through babysitting/volunteer work on and off for over 10 years. One thing you should know about me is I'm in the Airforce reserves, that requires me to work one weekend a month. I am fully open and available to work with your family all throughout the week. With my military discount, I'm able to have free entry to most museums around the city for me and a few additional guests. If you are comfortable, I would be happy to bring the children along to create another fun learning experience!
