Experience: 6 yrs
Hi, I'm Michaela ( or KK). I'm a part-time preschool teacher and I have 6 years of experience working with children. I have an Associates degree in Human Services, and a second Associates degree in Human Services with a concentration in Developmental Disabilities. I'm happy to help with light housekeeping, errands, kid-friendly meals, and grocery shopping. I have worked in five-star licensed childcare facilities and for the school system working with exceptional children. Wishing you well!
Kaykay is genuinely amazing! She's incredibly hands-on and attentive, and my kids absolutely adore her. She has a great sense for what each child needs- she's fantastic with my younger girls (ages 4 and 6), giving them lots of engagement and support, while also recognizing that my 9-year-old twin boys need a little more independence and freedom. She takes them outside to play with chalk or ride their bikes, colors with them, and truly plays with them—not just supervises. She’s gentle but firm, always adjusting her words and approach based on each child’s age and needs. One of the things I appreciate most is how well she handles emotions. She helps calm my four-year-old when she's upset and is incredibly patient and comforting when my autistic child needs extra support. On top of all that, she’s punctual and reliable, which I really appreciate with my work schedule. She's also incredibly helpful to me personally-she’s quick to lend a hand if I come in with groceries or if the kids have a moment after I return home from work. Kaykay also celebrates the kids’ successes and praises them for things they do well, which means a lot. She’s respectful, inclusive, and open to all types of families, which is so important to us. We’re so grateful to have her as our sitter!
