About Michaela

I am fortunate to have gained valuable knowledge and experiences over the years. I have had multiple opportunities to produce lesson plans and put teaching strategies into practice. I graduated from The City College of New York with a Bachelor's Degree in Childhood Education. I am currently studying at Queens College, obtaining a Master's Degree in Special Education. Through fieldwork and classroom experience, I learned that 1-on-1 interventions are effective. It can be hard for a teacher to provide explicit instruction that fits the needs of all students. This is what inspired me to begin private tutoring. There is only so much that can be done in the classroom and I want to help students beyond the classroom. I want to be a positive impact in students academic journeys.
