About Michaela

Hello, I'm Michaela. I'm a second-grade public school teacher with four years of classroom experience and have been working with children in educational settings since 2017. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Elementary Education, as well as a Master of Arts in Teaching-both from Mary Baldwin University. I am licensed to teach grades PreK through 6. In addition to my formal education, I am Orton-Gillingham trained through the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education and hold a LETRS certification (Language Essentials for Teaching Reading and Spelling). I am passionate about supporting young learners in developing strong reading and math skills. Teaching has always been close to my heart, and I feel honored to guide children as they grow and succeed. Outside the classroom, I enjoy sports, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends. I'm excited to get to know you and support your child's learning journey!
