About Micah

I grew up in Eastern Europe! I've worked with kids since I was young, and taught them in informal settings as a teenager. My main passion and professional focus is kids with special needs. I did not have access to any disability services growing up. I only found out later that many of my issues could be traced back to undiagnosed autism, ADHD, and some chronic pain. I feel that I missed out on a lot of my childhood because my disabilities went unsupported. So I've made it my life's mission to be what I needed when I was younger. I'm a very patient, but firm, person, with a Montessori philosophy of behavior management and learning. I'm a strong believer that behavior is communication, and rules are best if they are based on trust and boundaries. I'm in school right now, and I'm aiming to become a para-educator, either in a home care setting or in a special needs school. I need a job for the summer, and I'm open to working part-time during the semester too!
