About Micaela

Hi my name is Micaela. My experience includes being employed as a caregiver at a psychiatric hospital on the children's unit for 8 years. There I cared for children ages 4-12 creating care plans and crisis management interventions. I assisted the children with developing socially appropriate interpersonal relationships and behaviors and assisted them with activities of daily living. I provided on going monitoring of children's' behaviors to ensure their safety and well-being and was able to intervene and de-escalate in crisis situations. Outside of my professional responsibilities with children, I have been babysitting for multiple families over many years. In that role, I helped with early morning routines, school preparation, carpooling, meal preparation, tutoring and homework completion and bedtime routines. I have also done overnight babysitting and pet care. Finally, I was a swim instructor and coach for 5 years working with children ages 5-18 and was certified in CPR.
