About Mia

I'd describe myself as kind, compassionate, trustworthy, dependable, and patient. Caring for others has always been something I'm passionate about. I began babysitting my siblings and cousins at a young age, later taught preschool Sunday school at my church, and started babysitting for other families when I was 14. Since then, I've continued caring for children on and off for several families of all ages. For the past two years, I've worked in the Emergency Department at a Level I Trauma Center, where I've learned to stay calm under pressure, communicate effectively, and provide compassionate care in fast-paced situations. Alongside my ER role, I also work one-on-one with a woman with autism, supporting her independence, daily living skills, and community involvement. I also teach private swim lessons and love helping children build confidence while having fun. My goal is to create a safe, positive, and engaging environment where children feel supported, encouraged, and cared for.
