About Mia

Hi! My name is Mia and I am an honors student studying Psychology and Women's and Gender Studies. In 2025, I held a job at a children's amusement park in my hometown, San Antonio, Texas. I helped children onto the rides, completed safety checks, recited spiels, and attended safety and evacuation training. This job refined my skills in working with kids, as I created safe and fun environment. I also have experience as a director for a short play with an all-middle-school cast and crew. In this position, I aimed to create and perpetuate an inclusive environment for creative development by encouraging norms of positivity, kindness, and equal inclusion. In doing so, I refined my skills in mentoring and supporting collaboration among young artists. I hope to bring my aptitude for working with children, both as a caregiver and a mentor, to babysitting and tutoring with Care. com!
