About Mia

Hi my name is Mia! I am originally from California, but moved to Connecticut to finish my graduate degree. I have a B. S. in Health Science and a M. S. in Occupational Therapy. I am also a licensed / registered occupational therapist! I have been working per diem in an independent living facility, and I have completed two internships in SNFs assisting individuals with a wide variety of diagnosis. While there, I worked to maintain and increase individuals independence in ADLs, mobility, and general everyday living! I completed my graduate thesis on the importance of assisting caregivers of individuals living with dementia, as well as created and implemented a program to measure cognitive changes in older adults. I have experience working with adults in all stages of dementia, and feel comfortable working with adults who are experiencing cognitive changes. In my free time, I love to read, spend time outdoors, and play with my mini-goldendoodle! I look forward to connecting with you!
