About Miah

Hello! My name is Miah and I am excited to help with all your childcare needs! I moved to the area 2 years ago to pursue graduate school at CSU, studying early education, focusing on child development within school contexts. I've babysat for families through Care. com and word of mouth, consisting of both hourly sitting and staying the weekends while parents are out of town! I first started working with kids as a camp counselor in 7th grade and have held several childcare job positions since, so I love working with kids! Professionally, I've held internship positions with children who have behavioral/intellectual disabilities. I supported social development through play, provided routines, and redirected behavior using evidence-based interventions. I take a whole-child approach to childcare and am also comfortable with discipline for kids who need extra support! I am happy to talk more about my experiences and provide a reference, if necessary.
