About Mia

Hi! My name is Mia, and I am a senior at the University of Missouri graduating in May with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Science with an emphasis in Child Life. I have experience working with children in hospitals, research programs, and preschool classrooms. During my Child Life practicum at MU children's hospital, I supported children and families through therapeutic play, coping strategies, and developmental support. I have also worked with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children through the MU Child Development Laboratory and previously in a Montessori classroom during high school. I enjoy creating a safe, engaging environment where children can learn and grow. I love planning age-appropriate activities and supporting children's development. I will begin an accelerated Master of Science in Nursing program in Fall 2026 and am currently looking for summer employment. I would love the opportunity to support your family this summer.
