About Mia

My name is Mia and I am a college student at ETSU studying Psychology on the Pre-Med Pathway. After college, I plan to attend medical school to pursue a career as a surgeon or Psychiatrist. Caring for the elderly has always been a passion of mine and something I have been doing since I was a little girl. I started with caring for my grandmother who had Parkinson's Disease, she was my best friend, and we did everything together! It wasn't until my senior year of high school I turned 18 and was able to get a professional in-home caregiver job, traveling around my town and caring for up to 4 people at a time. When I moved to Murfreesboro for school I continued this direction by working for another caregiving company and volunteering my free time at nursing homes. I believe people would describe me as calm, patient, and loving along with the fact I have a very bubbly inviting personality.
