About Mia

Hello! I am a dedicated educator with over 8 years of hands-on experience at all levels. I hold a Bachelor's and Master's degree from DePaul University. During my time at DePaul, I worked at public K-8 schools, local NGOs, and held positions at DePaul's Writing Center. I have tutoring expertise in writing/grammar, history/social studies, and Spanish, but I also have experience teaching K-5 core subjects. My tutoring is focused on patience and meeting the student where they are at to build confidence, deepen their understanding, and foster resiliency.
