About Meryl

I'd describe myself as warm, grounded, and easy to connect with - I enjoy bringing fun and lightness to life, no matter the situation. My experience with caregiving has included assistant teaching at a Waldorf school, patient care at an inpatient facility, and providing respite care for my father-in-law with Alzheimer's. I value the opportunity to offer dignified care, mindful presence and companionship to folks from all walks of life in need of support. I'm looking for a position in a caring, friendly environment - something that feels both fulfilling and heart-centered. I'm open to full- or part-time hours. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, reading, yoga, rock climbing, gardening and anything outdoors with my family. I believe that time in nature is healing for the body, mind, and soul. I bring a calm, patient presence and a good sense of humor to my work. My skills include empathetic listening and patience as well as basic care skills including meal prep, and basic first aid.
