About Merry

I have provided childcare/assistance for families with children of all ages and abilities for over 10 years. For over 4 years, I taught beginner to advanced swim lessons to children and adults, adapting my approach, whenever needed. Throughout my undergraduate studies, I served as a counselor, activity leader, intern, and instructor, and taught outdoor and adaptive outdoor recreation sports, including downhill skiing, rock-climbing, biking, and horse-back riding. Last school-year, while assisting Special Education teachers, I led students (ages 5-12) with severe attention deficit and/or mental instability through daily movement and team-building exercises, teaching them methods of expending energy in positive ways. In addition, I taught math, English, and social science, when needed. I thoroughly enjoy working with/teaching youth, and am happy to provide childcare for families needing a little extra help.
