About Meriya

I have previous experience working at a kids summer camp for 4 years, working with children in primarily in elementary and middle school ages. I previously worked at a charter school in SF for children with special needs; specifically behavioral and emotional disorders and intellectual disabilities. I am very good with working with mixed aged groups while still remaining focused on each child's individual needs. I love the outdoors: hiking specifically. I am a recent graduate of UC Santa Barbara, majoring in Sociology and with minors in both Education and Applied Psychology. I aspire to continue further with my education to achieve a masters degree in Education and am in the process of obtaining my special education teaching credential.
