My name is Merilee, but those closest to me, call me "Mimi" :). I am a mom of two grown boys, and grandma to the most beautiful 1-year-old. I have spent the last 5 years caring for my mom full time. She had MS, dementia, and other major chronic health issues. She passed away in April 2026. I feel so honored that I was able to care for her and give her a beautiful ending to her life feeling extremely loved and safe. She was previously living in a facility and when her dementia started progressing she felt so scared and was not getting the care she deserved. I left my job as a paraprofessional at an elementary school (19 years), to be able to care for her full-time. During the summers, I would nanny for families, and ran my own in-home daycare when my boys were very young. So I come with many years experience working with kids.
