About Merike

I am a christian, military wife and mom of 2 college aged boys. I have worked in daycare/pre-school settings and private nannied off and on for 10+ years. I have also worked in our various church nurseries since my boys were babies and I've been certified through Florida Department of Children and Families. Our youngest son is deaf so I do know some sign language and have experience working with speech therapists and a teacher for the deaf/hoh. Prior to moving to Oak Harbor, I was Nannying our goddaughter who has physical and communication delays due to a brain injury at birth. She was in my care from 6 months - 2 1/2 years old. I worked diligently with her physical therapist, occupational therapist, food/feeding therapist and helped with various speech and communication skills. I love littles and have a passion to help with their early growth and development while providing the best loving care possible!
