About Mena

My name is Mena and I have been working with children of all ages for the past 7 years! I've been employed in school. Head Start programs, as well as nannying and pet/housesitting in between. During my time at Central school, I was working as an assistant teacher. It is a play based forest school that drew inspiration from the Reggio Emilia teaching philosophy. This job taught me how to teach children in the natural environment! Because of this I like to spend lots of time outdoors with the children I take care of, while teaching them how to safely interact with the world around them. During my time with Eightcap I worked both as a Center Assistant and as an Infant Toddler Educator. I was trained in many different areas including conscience discipline, child development, child behavior, health and safety, CPR and first aid, as well as many more. I also gained experience with food handling and meal preparation.
