I am 46 years old and have a 23-year-old son that I raised on my own for the first two years of his life and then with my ex-husband for the rest. I have babysat babies up to teens off and on since I was 12 yrs old. One summer I worked in a daycare as a backup when others caregivers went on vacation or needed days off. I also was a nanny to a 3-year-old for proximately 4 months when I was 18, until the mother had another infant and decided to stay home with her children. I've even taken care of a handicapped child a couple of times, but do not consider myself competent to do so on a full time basis. I love to read to kids and play with them and take them outside to play. I can help with homework, etc.
