Children are my passion. I have over 20 years of experience working with children aged 2 months to 17 years in a variety of contexts and locations, including as an in-home childcare provider, preschool teacher, camp counselor, soccer coach, tutor, environmental educator, treatment counselor, skills trainer and paraprofessional. I have extensive experience with children who have developmental delays and those with severe behavioral issues. I consider myself an expert at playing - I am trained in Floortime, or play therapy, a relationship-based, child-led method that uses play and activities to create strong emotional connections with children and encourage meeting of developmental milestones. After almost 15 years on Maui, I just bought a house in HPP in search of more stability than the Maui rental market is able to provide. I was lucky enough to work with the same family for my last 4. 5 years there, and I am hoping to find a family here to connect with in a similar way.
