About Mellisa

I've spent most of my life caring for children. I'm a 40-year-old mom of four (3 are adults now) raising my adventurous3-year-old daughter, Willa, while completing my Psychology degree at Eastern Washington University. Our days are filled with outdoor adventures, books, art, laughter, and play. I believe children learn best when they feel safe, loved, engaged, and free to explore, not in front of a screen. My experience includes raising four children, volunteering in childcare, caring for children with special needs, and supporting my developmentally delayed daughter through speech, sensory, and developmental milestones. These experiences have taught me patience, flexibility, and how to celebrate every child's strengths. I'm intentionally keeping my group small-just one or two children close to Willa's age-so each child receives individualized attention, plenty of outdoor time, and a warm, enriching environment.
