We give Mellenna our highest recommendation as a caretaker for children. We were fortunate to connect with Mellenna to nanny for our eighteen month old son. She goes above and beyond coming up with fun activities that our son enjoys based on his developing interests. Singing songs, art projects, reading books, building "forts," and plenty of outdoor time. Our son adores her. She always arrives on time or early, is easy to communicate with, and asks good questions about our household preferences. She has high attention to detail and takes extra effort on her own initiative to mirror how we communicate with our son to maintain consistency for him in his daily routine.  We are grateful for the attention and care Mellenna provides to our little one, allowing us to leave the house knowing he is having fun, is learning new things, and is in experienced, caring hands.

Mellenna continues to be the most reliable person I've ever hired. She had worked for us for almost a year and we absolutely love her! She spends her personal time researching things to do with my daughter for when she's working that challenge her and keep her mentally stimulated. She is so communicative and never hesitates to ask if she is unsure about if my daughter can eat or do anything. I was laid off of we would have continued using her at her full schedule indefinitely. Mellenna is really a gem. Any family is lucky to have her. We love her so much that we still keep her on once a week so that she and my daughter can hang out because my 1-year-old daughter loves her so much that I couldn't bear the thought of separating them. My kid is always happy, well taken care of, and obviously adored while I'm away. I never worry when she's with Mellenna because I know that Mellenna watches like a hawk. Do yourself a favor and hire her.

Wish there was an option for 3.5 stars. Punctual and dependable.Mellenna struck an instant rapport with my baby and engaged with him well. She kept him busy during the day with activities and fun tasks and was very good with other tasks like laundry, keeping the place tidy as well as keeping my dog entertained. 
However, she really struggled with feeding my infant. She stated it was because my husband and I are around which I thought was unfair to blame the parents as we didn't get involved- that one day a week.  My husband wfh and stays in his office unless for coffee or lunch and he takes it with him into the office. I was in and out and busy with other chores. The second day she was by herself.  The formula and solid he took on those days was drastically lower than the days when our other nanny worked or we fed him. 
Will do better with older independent eaters.  Made notes and kept me informed  but still missed important stuff time to time. Needs some repetition of instructions.

Mellenna is well trained in children with special needs, she is able to respond to the needs of your child efficiently. And is very calm with her demeanor, and always has fun activities for the kids to do while in her care.
