About Melissa

Empowering elementary students to reach their full potential is my passion. With 10 years of experience as a Certified Teacher, I specialize in Math, English, Test Preparation, and essential study skills. My approach centers on building critical thinking and problem-solving abilities through personalized support. I assess your child's unique learning style by fostering open communication and maintaining regular check-ins with parents to ensure we are aligned. When concepts become challenging, I keep students engaged by celebrating small successes and providing consistent positive reinforcement. Nothing compares to the joy of witnessing a student's "aha!" moment when a difficult topic finally clicks. I am happy to travel to your home or welcome you to mine for our sessions. I look forward to partnering with your family to help your child thrive and gain the confidence they need to succeed.
