Hello Parents, My name is Melissa. I'm from NYC. I'm proud of many things in life but nothing beats being a mom. My daughter is 28 years old. She has taught me patience, gratitude, kindness and strength. The children that I've cared (care) for have also taught me a few things such as being an artist (coloring inside the lines) a gymnast ( jungle gym, park) a chef (jazzing up chicken/ pasta) and being an architect (lego building). It may not always be easy but the smiles, hugs and laughter makes it worth while. It's rewarding in so many ways. I've been working as a nanny for over 20 years. Working part time has giving me the freedom to still make time for myself and enjoy life.

Melissa has been taking care of my 1 year old and 4 year old for a year and a half and is wonderful! She is reliable, warm, and so engaging with the kids! Melissa has also watched my kids for several days while my husband and I have been away- she was wonderful! I highly highly recommend Melissa for your childcare needs :) 

Melissa has been babysitting for my two young children, as needed, for over two years. Outside of immediate family, she is the person I trust most to watch them. She is unphased by any challenges my kids may present,  and is always extremely professional, TIDY!, and enthusiastic when she comes over. My kids feel so comfortable with her, and therefore, so do my husband and I! We love Mel!

I reached out to Melissa in hopes of help with home organization, starting my kids' playroom.

She began her response by telling me she did not provide childcare services while organizing and did not want children present. NOWHERE in my message did I mention I needed childcare! I had only explained I was looking for extra assistance with organization due to a busy household with 4 school-aged children and me working full-time (my husband is a stay-at-home parent so we wouldn't even need childcare).

I also stated my kids could help with sorting which toys they didn't play with anymore/we could throw out (again, not while she was organizing!). Instead, she went on to chastise me that toys that are not broken or missing parts should be donated. Yes, obviously I would pass along a clean gently used toy.

I did attempt to politely elucidate the above misconceptions, but received no acknowledgement.

She came across as condescending and presumptuous. She obviously does not pay attention to what is being asked of her and lacks basic reading comprehension/communication skills. 

Maybe she was having a bad day as she does have good reviews for, ironically, providing childcare. 

But buyer beware...






Mel is the best!  So good with children, energetic, and easy to work with!  Loved by both parents and children in our house!

Melissa is amazing!! She watches our 2 boys (ages 1 & 4) on the occasional date night and they love when she comes over! She is great with them, always playing, friendly and fun. She is also super responsive and dependable, and whenever we come home the house is spotless. Can't say enough good things, would hire again and again!

Melissa babysits our infant on the occasional date night. She is very responsible and direct, not to mention a helpful resource to me as a new mother. She also makes an effort to read to our baby, which we really appreciate. Absolutely recommend!

Melissa was really great! She watched my daughter for an evening. Melissa seemed very  competent and caring to watch my 16 month old. She has a really friendly and caring demeanor about her. We would definitely rehire her again to come babysit for us.

Melissa was wonderful! She watched our 3-month-old daughter on a Friday and Saturday night while we attended wedding events. She was incredibly sweet, responsive, on time, and brillIant with our baby. Melissa watched our baby at her house on Saturday night and the place was spotless and in a beautiful neighborhood. I wish we could hire Mel every weekend, and will definitely do so the next time we're back on Long Island!

Mel is awesome! My 3 and 4 year old love her. She plays with them and makes up creative games. I love how she doesn't need to stick them in front of a TV for them to be entertained. I've had some bad experiences with younger caregivers where they were always on the phone...not Mel! She really genuinely gets to know the kids :)
And I love that. Also, the house is always tidy after she leaves. Major plus!

Mel is an asset to any family. She is a wonderful caregiver. She has looked after my two children (toddler and newborn) since birth and I trust her implicitly. She brings so much experience and knowledge about kids. We LOVE her!

Melissa walked into our home and within the first few minutes of meeting we felt like she was part of the family. She is always punctual, attentive, and extremely warm and loving with my children who absolutely adore her. Melissa always goes above and beyond our expectations and we feel so grateful to have her in our lives. Anyone would be lucky to have her care for their children!

Mel is fantastic! She watched my toddler part time over the last few months. She is always on time and prepared with activities and ideas to keep my daughter entertained. My daughter talks about the fun things they do and places they go for hours after she leaves. Mel is even great with my two dogs! I never once had to worry that my daughter was in good hands when my husband and I were working. 

Melissa has been with our family for almost 4 years. She arrived when my son was a newborn and has helped him grow into an amazing, sweet and intelligent toddler! We are extremely sad to see Melissa leave us, as she is more than just Mary Poppins (she really is!), but family. It takes a village to raise a child and my husband and I are so fortunate to have had Melissa as part of our village. Anyone who hires her is fortunate to have found the best candidate: reliable, loving, fun, dependable, and most importantly, SAFE! She truly loves my son and shows that in her day to day interactions with him, whether it is running to the store to get his favorite Star Wars soup, giving our son needed hugs and kisses throughout the day or taking him to his favorite park, we always knew our son was in good hands, such a nice feeling to have as a new parent. Thank you Melissa for an amazing 4 years with our family, you will be missed greatly!

We are so happy to have Melissa as a babysitter for our 19 month old son. Our son has a ton of energy and she is great with him. They always have the best time together. My husband and I usually don't exist when Melissa walks through the door. What more could you ask for?! She is the best!


From the moment we met Mel we knew she would be a perfect fit for our family. She has great energy and is caring, loving and compassionate. She constantly plays with our daughter and finds activities to keep her busy throughout the day. She is reliable and we feel comfortable having her watch our daughter as we know she is great hands. 

Melissa has been working with our family for over a year.  She is wonderful with our child and is very reliable.  We are so happy with her.  I highly recommend her for a caregiver.
