About Melissa

Hi there! My name is Melissa and I am a 25-year-old Spanish teacher and educational coordinator at a private school for twice-exceptional students. In my free time, I enjoy baking, hiking, and dancing. I am an Aunty, a Godmother, and for many years I've been trusted to babysit for neighbors and family friends. I still have quite an imagination and am willing to get creative to entertain your kids. Yoga and nature walks (even just in the backyard!) are some calming ways I've found have helped kids struggling to focus. I enjoy arts and crafts and have a lot of supplies of my own. I also have some fun recipes up my sleeve and would enjoy teaching some basic cooking and food sustainability skills in a safe and age appropriate way. I am more than happy to help with assignments and virtual learning when needed. I am a resident of Nyack with reliable transportation and a smiley disposition.
